Description: This course will emphasize corneal and lens-based surgeries to improve vision. Recognizing and treating conditions such as corneal dystrophies and dry eye can improve outcomes for any ocular surgery. Cataract surgery techniques and lens options will be discussed. A better understanding of the surgical process will improve post operative management. Refractive surgery technologies such as LASIK, PRK, SMILE will be discussed along with their pros and cons. Other alternatives such as ICL is also included. Advanced ocular imaging such as topography, epithelial mapping and anterior segment OCT will be discussed.

A systematic approach to managing keratoconus, post penetrating keratoplasty, post surgery and irregular astigmatism with contact lenses is discussed. Cases histories will be presented that demonstrate the use of GP.
